Mind in Motion

We will explore the awakening of the sensory-motor nervous system in human development---how enlivening of the senses begins in the womb and continues through the first year of infancy, triggering primitive motor responses. These early movement reflexes provide a fundamental framework for more complex coordination as the child moves forward and up into crawling. This work is deeply related to and still distinct from the DART explorations. Open to AT teachers, trainees, and students of the Alexander Technique.
