Faculty
The ATI-LA Senior Faculty collectively represent a wide variety of backgrounds, having trained in the 1970s with Frank Ottiwell & Giora Pinkas in San Francisco; Judy Leibowitz and others at ACAT-NY; and Walter & Dilys Carrington in London. Additionally all had the good fortune to do post-graduate work with first-generation teachers (those who trained with F.M. Alexander) including: Dr. and Marjory Barlow, Marjorie Barstow, Walter Carrington, and Patrick Macdonald and others.
The eclectic teaching styes of the faculty, based solidly on F.M. Alexander’s principles, demonstrate an exciting variety of approaches to teaching the Alexander Technique. Trainees benefit from preservation of the traditional pedagogy and exploration of new developments in the Technique.
The ATI-LA Faculty includes some of the most experienced teachers in the world.
